I have actually done this and it is fascinating.
Ask your kids to pick a time of day. Let’s say 4:00pm,after school time. Then have them make note of the temperature. They can use a weather channel or a well placed thermometer.( Keep it in the shade.)
Every day for a year,note the temperature at the same time.
When the year ends ,a chart can be made.Using graph paper, I put days across the top and temperatures down the side to create a line chart. By connecting the dots, you get a view of the weather that is remarkable!
Who knows,you may interest them in meteorology?
Makes a great science project for next Spring also!
