Zabby Eight Update 5/12/10

Zabby Eight and her friend Alodda came to grandma’s with Katherine as usual today. They were all happy to see that Kat’s cousin Maddie also came!

They played the Giant game, where grandma stands in the doorway and tries to catch them as they race around the table. If they are caught, one of the others has to tag them free.

They listened to two new story books that Aunt Donna had brought over.

Now, they are painting at the kitchen table. Four chairs and four girls!

They were told to choose two colors to use. Kat chose blue and yellow. Green is her newest favorite color and Kat knew that she would get a third color after all!

Maddie wanted pink. She was given red and white.

Alodda chose yellow and red. Her favorite color is orange!

Zabby Eight chose blue and red. She was amazed when her favorite color purple jumped out at her!

While the girls had played the Giant game, Katherine announced that she was spider woman and the other girls were her “sidekicks”. There was Zabby, Alodda and little spider girl, Maddie.

The best part of having two imaginary girls over to play is that clean up takes half the time 🙂

  1. I love this! It took me a minute to realize that only some of the characters involved are real. 🙂

I had a very devoted imaginary friend as a girl. Her name was Mary and when asked to describe her, I would always say that she had red eyes. I think Mary and Zabby Eight would get along well.

  2. Just want to say what a great blog you got here!
I’ve been around for quite a lot of time, but finally decided to show my appreciation of your work!

Thumbs up, and keep it going!

    Cheers

  3. Love the last line here about cleanup!
When your granddaughter is a bit older, you could print all the Zabby Eight stories and give them to her!
I’m writing poems about my four year old grandson, Terry, celebrating milestones in his life. I am collecting them in a scrapbook and will illustrate it for him. I’ll give it to him when he is a little older.
Have a great time with “them”!
