Zabby Eight Update 12/1/10

The Eight family had a miracle over the weekend! Kat discovered a “back to life” potion and injected Zabby’s parents, who happened to be lying on my living room floor. The potion works ONLY on imaginary people and brought Zabby’s parents back to life!

At first, Katherine injected Zabby’s mom and she popped back to herself. But when it came to her Dad, Katherine accidentally picked up the syringe filled with the “super grow” formula that Kat had also developed. He filled the room . After the reanimation of Zabby’s Dad, Katherine had me give him an injection for “average size”. She lifted his pant leg and told me to just inject his leg since I could not reach his shoulder. It worked!

Zabby’s parents are staying with me now and actually look pretty good for all that they have been through. Kat has decided to keep her medical miracle syringes better organized. I’m still wondering what killed Zabby’s parents in the first place AND why they were on my living room floor? I’m just too afraid to ask!

  1. Loved it. What an imagination. I like that you had to “lift his pant leg” to administer the potion. It’s that attention to detail that makes it perfect!

  2. Well, well, well, Kat is one very interesting and very creative person, isn’t she? That young lady has a lot to add to the creativity of writing and maybe even humanity, as well. Hugs all around to you and yours in the cold, cold northeast. Here is the southwest, we are presently rivaling the temperatures in NYC this week.

My eldest daughter has been in NY for two months and she has never before ventured beyond the borders of California, except to travel to Mexico City, Acapulco and Guadalajara, and of course has wandered into the nearby northern Mexican border areas on occasion.

Keep warm, and stay you. How did it go with your NaNoWriMo venture. I didn’t quite make it on this end. Maybe next time.

    • I actually ended up losing most of my writing while trying to get some of my son’s old clutter off of my computer. I had long given up on achieving the 50,000 words BUT was pleased with what I had. The characters and ideas still are in my head so I’m not as upset as you might think.
I love the cold weather and the expectation of our first significant snow too. At Thanksgiving,my back porch was our traditional walk-in refrigerator…so handy.
Since I messed up my computer, my time has been spent away from it.I have several infants who need my attention too. Hope all is well there and my love to you and yours!

  3. Oh my, Susan,
I’m very sorry about your computer problems. That can be a real disaster. Have you ever considered using an offsite backup system such as Carbonite.com? When I originally tried to use that one, they did not yet support MAC. I then signed up with Mozy.com. Now, with their most recent updated version and crash, I am again thinking about moving on over to Carbonite now since they are also backing up MACS.

Mozy says they have their glitches fixed, but it took about a week, and even their support people made no contact, even on their customer forums until the last day or two. that isn’t very impressive, and I think I will be heading on move to Carbonite after the first of the year.

I can identify with the refrigerator thing, as my freezer and fridge is hardly running this past week. We have had colder than usual weather for this part of the country. It was only a couple of degrees warmer than NYC.
    Hugs to all,

Tell me something good...
